Improving outreach support for Parkinson’s patients

The Challenge: Our US-based Parkinson’s research organisation wanted to understand the content and sources of conversation online around Parkinson’s disease to better support their community of patients and families.


What We Did: Using Black Swan’s proprietary technology, we analysed over 100k online conversations around Parkinson’s on Twitter, blogs and boards globally, to create an in-depth understanding of how people talk, what they share, what advice and information people seek, when conversations take place and where, as well as the top influencers online.


The Results: A map of the Parkinson’s journey, outlining where patients and caregivers are seeking different types of information and support, with a set of clear recommendations on how to tailor outreach approaches to best support people and families living with the disease.
